| CGSIRD is located on a
sprawling 13 hectare campus 17 km from the city of
Raipur
. It is a
leading center for rural development training and research. CGSIRD
has every facility in-house for trainees and participants from
Chhattisgarh and other states.

Besides, well equipped
classrooms, hostel, a medical center, yoga and indoor and outdoor
games(Table Tennis, Shuttle badminton, Volley Ball) take care of
health and recreational needs of participants on the campus. Also
there is a gymnasium facility for various types of exercises.
The Institute is
equipped with modern computer laboratory and communication
technology, Internet, e-mail, Nicnet, Appropriate hardware,
software, wireless network and other IT facilities enhance the
utilization of database available at the institute.

The library and information Centre at the CGSIRD aims to serve the
needs of our faculty, research scholars, trainees and members of the
Library. It is the heart of the institution and acts as a center for
the collection of literature predominantly related to local self
governance and rural development. It is also developing a
comprehensive collection of information that is useful for teaching
and reference purpose. User satisfaction is the current day approach
to library service. To cope with this development, our Library has
stepped into Library Automation.
